PITTSBURG -- The second annual VETJAM concert will be held Saurday at the California Theater. The event features classic rock and Texas blues by Van Halen tribute band Hot for Teacher and Stevie Vaughn tribute artist Alan Iglesias.

PITTSBURG -- International circus legend Gregory Popovich brings his European-style physical comedy, acrobats, jugglers, and his furry cast of animals, the real stars of the show on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m., at the California Theater in Pittsburg.

Powerful Poetry at Pittsburg's Railroad Book Depot on November 15
PITTSBURG -- The city's Railroad Book Depot is holding a free poetry open mic event on Nov. 15, from 3-5 p.m.
So far, more than 10 performers have signed on to share family-friendly poetry and songs, including Sieanna Rene, a 13-year-old song writer and singer living in Oakley, and Le Thomas, a 16-year-old conscious rap artist from Hayward. Comedy at the California Theater featuring Ryan Stout on November 15
PITTSBURG -- Comedian Ryan Stout will be headlining a comedy night in the city's California Theater on Nov. 15, along with popular Bay Area comedian Dhaya Lakshminarayanan.
Stout has his own special on Comedy Central, and has performed on a litany of other programs, including Chelsea Lately and Conan. Nicole Calasich will host. Tickets range from $17, to a $42 package deal that includes a dinner at Hall of Fame Sports Bar & Grill.
