1. Purposes
1.1 To help publicize "America Recycles Day," on Saturday, 15 November, from 9:00 am till noon. This means that e-Waste can be dropped off at Delta Diablo Recycling -- FOR FREE. With drop-off of full loads (e-waste, clean wood, or metals), 4 bags of compost can be received in return.
1.2 To help publicize "Kid's Winter Recycling Camp," 24/Mon OR 25/Tue, 9 to 11 am (space is limited, so don't delay calling).
Take it from me, this tour is fascinating and enlightening -- for the young and not-so-young. It makes great sense for residents to deepen their appreciation for this invaluable service by personally examining what happens after garbage pick-up.
I have found that the new knowledge greatly improves how household and business waste are handled for the common good -- and, for brand new humans, it plants good seeds of appreciation and sense of responsibility for the well-being of the planet.
