    Join the Celebration at Food Source's Grand Opening Ceremony in Pittsburg! Food Source will open its doors in the Pittsburg community on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Doors will open a 11:00 a.m. The new store, located at 1375 Buchanan Road, will offer low prices on produce, meat, bakery, and all your favorite national brand groceries and friendly associates to help with all your needs. Also, you can visit their "Warehouse Zone" to find the latest and greatest deals they have to offer!

    Update: 1:00 pm -- There was a fine public turnout for the Food Source's Grand Opening -- nice, well-stocked, attractive store -- cheerful staff.  Many enthusiastically applauding shoppers attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, presided over by Chamber of Commerce CEO, Harry York.  The store's management team and staff were introduced.  And, the public officials who made welcoming remarks were:  City Council member Bill Casey; County Supervisor Glover's Chief of Staff, Dr. David Fraser; and Assistant City Manager Garrett Evans.  Refreshments and other goodies were freely passed out and a prize wheel randomly selected shoppers to receive gifts.  It looked as if they are prepared to do this for the rest of the day.  They will close, every day, at 10:00 pm.

  • 6th Annual Holiday Mixer -- 
    Wednesday December 12, 2012
    Join the Pittsburg Chamber and Mechanics Bank at the 6th Annual Holiday Mixer for an evening of merriment to celebrate the season at EJ Phair Brewing Co. located at 300 E. Cummerland St. from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

  • Coffee & Commerce -- Thursday December 20, 2012
    Join the Chamber and the Contra Costa Water District at the Chamber offices located at 985 Railroad Ave. from 8:00am to 9:00am and hear updates from the Water District's Board members; Bette Boatmun and Lisa Borba about the Los Vaqueros expansion project as well as upcoming water/construction projects.
