ISSUE: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Posted:  8 Aug 14

DEVELOPING A REALITY-OVERLAY "FILTER"
ON THE HUMAN KNOWLEDGE BASE (HKB)
HAVING TO DO WITH

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

For further
processing of the material
into a "grass roots" social strategy
for addressing this concern, sufficiently to resolve it

1.  Purpose

This bulletin exists to help -- lay the basis for an entire social strategy -- for mobilizing the people -- to deal with and settle -- the social pathology and scourge of "Domestic Violence" -- once and for all -- as individuals, families, households, neighborhoods, cities, counties, regions, states, the nation, as a family of nations, and for the human species, as a whole.

2.  General Approach

A first logical step MUST be to begin identifying and gathering all available relevant information in one convenient place.
  • This will allow victims a way to begin rescuing themselves -- without another moment's delay.
  • This will enable the entire society, as opportunity permits, to form common mind around what is to be done to fix this hurt which won't go away -- otherwise -- but truly should -- for we need our society to mature in all good health -- with its full productivity carefully protected -- and this social ill doesn't help, one single bit.
  • This will simplify the analysis of the problem and synthesis of appropriate solution responses.

By doing this work in public, the process becomes open -- to the guiding inputs -- of the collective genius -- and the common wisdom -- so as to focus on fully exposing -- all significant aspects -- to be found -- within the Human Knowledge Base (HKB) -- pertaining to this topic.

Other steps will reveal themselves as the problem becomes more sharply defined.  Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution.  We just have to define it accurately and precisely and thoroughly enough and the solution should "jump right out" at us.  (I hope, I hope).

3.  Action Suggested

Here, then, is the broad outline of a plan which will try -- to plummet the depths of the HKB -- and extract meaningful material -- which can be re-packaged -- for ease-of-use -- on the parts of entirely willing -- but awfully busy -- fellow humans -- who have many high causes to advance -- and who need to advance -- as many of them as they can -- with the same limited expenditure -- of precious resources.

I invite public comment, for this is what I mean about tapping the common wisdom which, collectively, solves all things -- or which certainly can, with suitable inspiration.  Believe me, what you think matters -- even if it proves wrong -- because its mere utterance may unlock or trigger all sorts of unexpected solutions -- leading to a happy ending.

Please understand that, as in everything I do, this is a "work-in-progress" -- wide open to public inspection.  Thus, all my outputs tend to be "rough" -- but on the road to refinement -- as knowledge grows -- and opportunity permits -- and I can sure use whatever help is to be found.  Our very existences influence "the entire human-life chain-reaction," for better or worse -- but for the better is best.

I definitely plan to tinker with this bulletin, accumulating insights, until a clearer picture emerges.  I'll mark revisions, by number, up in the title -- so you'll know whether anything has changed.

PRELIMINARY RESEARCH PLAN

A.  SOME RESEARCH QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED

(8/14/14/5:30am -- Beginning to break these questions down to start linking to the answers)

What should a person or persons do when enmeshed in a victimizing situation?
What should a person do if they are not sure they are being victimized?
What should a victimizer do to make themselves stop victimizing?
What should others do to make the victimizer stop victimizing?
What should outer-family, neighbors, and "friendship-and-acquaintance-circles" do when they become suspicious of domestic violence -- or actually witness it?
What should innocent bystanders do when they become suspicious of domestic violence -- or actually witness it?
What can society do to help defeat this social pathology?
