BUYING HEADPHONES? How does that relate to The Civic Mentor? (#3)

I SIMPLY HAVE TO TALK THIS OUT, PUBLICLY!

It makes sense too... you'll see!

A.  Purpose

1.  Since the audio experience has long been important to a favorable, often more productive, overall computing experience, I thought I would share what I am considering,  as far as getting the most from my equipment is concerned.  Here are a few leads -- (ALONG WITH A FEW FAR MORE IMPORTANT THINGS).

2.  You may not need headphones now -- but you might, sooner or later.  By making a bulletin, this keeps the info handy -- "permanently" on a bulletin--board -- where you may become likely to see it, among everything else -- as you browse the blog (if you do) -- and MOST IMPORTANTLY -- REMINDS YOU about this little topic  -- FOR YOU HAVE MUCH TO REMEMBER, IN THIS COMPLEX, VERY BUSY LIFE.

3.  Plus, for system-building purposes -- this gives me an extra way -- to move forward in fully developing a major slice of -- a "grass roots" information management system -- that slice to be known as something like the

"Civic Mentor / Technological Element."

4.  Here are two practical "nuggets" for you, just in case -- which give you quick solutions -- or can at least get you started along that path:

B. But in a FAR MORE IMPORTANT sense

1.  This also gives me a chance to give you another clue as to the vast scope of this Civic Mentor project -- so prominent on my life's master "to-do" list.  For there is much to eventually explain.  

When I say I am determined to help simplify the ENTIRE human life-experience, for all who are interested, I mean to include every conceivable thing of significance -- for every person -- including myself.  How can I not, for a mission so-defined?

Sounds far-fetched?  Wait... hear me out...

2.  By identifying and inventorying EVERYTHING -- from trivial to major -- ESPECIALLY NOW THAT WE HAVE THE INTERNET, GOOGLE, AND FACEBOOK) - then, I am building up a comprehensive, logically balanced representation of the ENTIRE framework of our realities -- leaving out nothing that will become important at some time or another -- so we can better see and attend to our WHOLE-LIFE pictures -- for while they are so unique -- there are still many, many parts that are similar, predictable, and possible to generalize, systematically -- to REDUCE THE QUANTITY AND CHAOS of things we have to worry about, so wastefully

It has to include minor things, because who knows -- when they might become especially important -- in and of themselves -- or as triggers to other things? Life is incredibly inter-connected -- and that can be turned to advantage -- quite often than not.

Admittedly, these are IDEAL outcomes -- they are worth shooting for -- and even if we only get half-way there in our lifetimes -- THAT'S A RESPECTABLE ACHIEVEMENT!

(after all, the totality of human existence IS NOT INFINITE IN ITS COMPONENTS -- these can thus be COMPLETELY inventoried, simplified, and managed -- given sufficient forethought, time, and supporting resources -- as ONE, POWERFUL thing -- an admittedly BIG JOB to accomplish -- BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT an impossible one -- ANY LONGER -- because of what THE INTERNET enables us to do -- that we NEVER could before.

3.  I can't do this alone.  We can all see that.  No ONE human (or even a small, but dedicated group) can reasonably expect to do that, alone. Once this project achieves a sufficient level of MOMENTUM and MATURITY and CLARITY, I fully expect good-hearted volunteerism to open-wide the "human knowledge base" and the "good-will base."  I believe, deeply, in the GOODNESS, RATIONALITY, AND OTHER HUMAN SPECIALTIES.   For all will come to see, clearly, the reasons and methods that make this so worthwhile an undertaking -- and well worth their helping to advance to its logical conclusions.

4.  By tapping the human genius and better "angels of our nature" that fill these two bases (and we all have genius and inner-angels in some way or another -- though, unfortunately, some discover what these are -- often, tragically and avoidably, too late -- if ever -- and I can help there, too), then I expect to gather the willing inputs and cooperation SUFFICIENT to perfect the Civic Mentor tools, so they can satisfactorily address EVERYTHING important -- everything that fills the TOTALITY of our existences, individually and collectively.  If everyone or many are involved in this work, does this not constitute the totality or large portion of human realities?  Will this significant part of the common wisdom NOT (CAN IT NOT) come forth, at all due speed -- if people come to believe that I'm really on to something  EXTREMELY powerful?  -- 

SOMETHING THEY NEEDED ALL ALONG --
BUT DIDN'T KNOW THEY DID 
or who had suspected as much, but... 

Logical.  Straight-forward.  A DARNED GOOD BET!  And...

5.  So NECESSARY, now, for living well, in a complex, modern age.  

For "Reinvention of the Wheel"
is SO UNDESIRABLE A HUMAN ERROR!! 

-- (i.e., the act of wastefully duplicating ideas and problem-solutions -- already well-tested, proven, clear, complete, and ready to do good work -- but steadfastly by-passed -- precious creative mental energy -- and time -- squandered on needless problem-solving -- or possibly even GRAVE, LIFE-SMASHING ERRORS -- when we would have taken them into good account -- had we only known about them -- or remembered them -- exactly when we most needed them.  GOOD ADVICE IS GOOD ADVICE!)

6.  Civic Mentor means to present the "whole package, tailored by you, to suit you," right there on your desks or in your phones, where you can have the contents of your ENTIRE existence, at your fingertips, but completely secure and private, ready for you to manage, smartly -- in much fuller awareness.

WE EACH HAVE GREAT DESTINIES THAT CRY OUT TO BE FULFILLED -- IF WE ONLY DELIBERATELY REALIZE AND BELIEVE THAT THIS IS SO -- AND USE ALL OUR PRECIOUS RESOURCES, WITH MAXIMUM POSSIBLE WISDOM -- and I mean for the common wisdom to be reflected all through The Civic Mentor Network Model.

7.  With such CAREFULLY-CONSIDERED, COMPLETE, and DELIBERATELY-ENHANCED self-knowledge AND self-management-systems -- is there not  THAT MUCH MORE GOOD that we can each do -- with the very same expenditures of our EXTREMELY SCARCE mental and physical energies? And, if that self-knowledge -- in written form -- (the very framework which I am now building) -- can be MADE EASILY customized -- BY EACH and EVERY USER -- to suit their PRECISE and UNIQUE circumstances of life -- and clearly improve them -- and thus, improve the lives that these help manage -- then, will it be rationally possible -- NOT TO ADOPT AND ABSOLUTELY RELISH such ready-made life-solutions? And, if everyone does adopt (whether one or many fellow humans) -- will this not create a far better world -- than before -- UNDENIABLY?

8.  And if these "PERSONALIZED SELF-MENTORING SYSTEMS" are all reasonably STANDARDIZED -- to some sufficient degree -- yet SUPREMELY FLEXIBLE -- thereby freezing-in -- comfortably and conveniently -- "best practices" -- and common mutual understandings -- will this not make it easier to communicate, cooperate, and think together about the issues of today and tomorrow?  (The easier a thing is to do, the more likely it will be to get done -- and done much better, rather than much worse)  To quickly form around common causes and mobilize to pursue and advance them?  To fix whatever needs fixing, with a minimum of delay and expense?  

TO HELP MAKE THIS ENTIRE LIFE-EXPERIENCE A DREAM COME TRUE == FOR ALL!

WELL, LET'S GET STARTED!  LET'S GO GET THIS THING DONE -- AS FAST AS POSSIBLE -- THEN SAVOR ANOTHER HUMAN TRIUMPH!  (Doesn't hurt to think BIG)

7.  I seek not to create more work for fellow humans

-- but to lighten their loads -- our loads -- so we humans can do even more things to better the circumstances of our lives -- and, in so doing -- help better the lives of everyone connected into the "great human chain-reaction."  And, everyone is so-connected, permanently -- unbreakably.

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT.
