Tax-Aide Needs You! Volunteers Needed.

Do you like helping others?
Do you use a personal computer?
Can you enter info into a computer?
AARP Tax-Aide provides FREE tax preparation services for low to moderate income taxpayers of all ages with special focus for seniors. Volunteers are needed to help in this service at the Pittsburg Senior Center at Presidio and Harbor from February 1 thru April 15, 2012.
Tax preparation experience is not required, but reasonable computer skills will be needed. Volunteers are trained as counselors in basic tax law and tax preparation software. Experienced counselors are always available to help. An Orientation Meeting will occur in early December and training is scheduled for early January. The Volunteer time commitment is only one day each week during the tax season, once training & certification has been completed.
